Beigou Village is located in the northeastern part of Bohai Town, Beijing. It is backed by Mutianyu Great Wall. In 2019, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Development and Reform Commission released the first batch of national key rural tourism villages list, and Beigou Village was included. It has been awarded “The First National Ecological Cultural Village”, “The Most Attractive Leisure Village in China” and “The Most Beautiful Village in Beijing”.
Surrounded by mountains on all sides, the scenery is beautiful and suitable for both leisure and living. This was also a place where domestic and foreign political figures stayed to admire the Great Wall. A small village filled with the stories from all over the world.
Brickyard Story
The hotel was renovated from a glazed tile & bricks factory, preserving as much as possible the original appearance and firing marks of the factory. The name “BRICKYARD” retains its historical memory, and the original several old cave dwellings have been preserved. The integration of brick and tile elements with modern art can be seen everywhere in the hotel.
Every brick, tile, soil and wood here strives to retain the traditional style of the northern Chinese countryside. The blending of rural and urban, tradition and modernity, Eastern and Western elements has created the unique DNA of the “BRICKYARD”. Here, guests not only experience hotel services， but also encounter a long-forgotten history and culture.
Wa Art Architecture Museum
The Wa Art Architecture Museum is located in Beigou Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing. The Wa Art Architecture Museum is not merely an exhibition space; it also undertakes a deeper cultural mission. Its construction is a continuation and new experiment of the cultural heritage of Beigou Village, as well as an in-depth exploration of the relationship between the countryside and the city. Through the display of artworks, the Wa Art Museum not only amplifies the local humanistic traits but also attempts to depict the solemn significance of this rural area through the dialogue between art and the countryside.
