Beijing Yanqing Olympic Zone is the venue for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics. It consists of three main competition venues: the National Alpine Skiing Centre, the National Sliding Centre, and the Yanqing Olympic Village.
The National Alpine Ski Center, known as “Snow Flying Swallow,” stands at a maximum altitude of 2,198 meters. It features 24 Olympic-standard ski trails with a total length of 25.4 kilometers and a maximum vertical drop of 1,290 meters. The venue is also equipped with China’s longest rope-way system, spanning 10.3 kilometers. As China’s only Olympic-standard alpine ski resort, it continues to serve as a premier destination for professional athletes and ski enthusiasts alike.
The Yanqing National Sliding Center, known as “Snow loong,” features a main ice track with a total length of 1,975 meters. It is the 17th such track in the world, the 3rd in Asia, and the only Olympic-standard sliding track in China.
Yanqing Olympic Village boasts a summer oxygen concentration of up to 26%, it stands as Beijing’s largest and highest-altitude mountain resort hotel. It was praised as the “Most Beautiful Olympic Village” by IOC Vice President Samaranch Jr.. The Olympic Village Resort Hotel features 702 guest rooms, including standard rooms and family suites, along with diverse dining options, conference facilities, a fitness center, and hot spring baths.
The Yanqing Olympic Zone has been designated as a National-Level Skiing Tourism Resort by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. We welcome visitors from around the world for year-round travel and leisure.
